Vinted Users Share Displeasure Regarding Size Changes
Vinted users have been reacting angrily following a change that caused listings displaying inaccurate size information.
This online marketplace has revised its sizing categories for women's and children's garments failing to inform all shoppers about the modification.
Social Media Backlash
Numerous buyers and vendors are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display a different size category compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
The company said the new system was more in line with similar services.
They have suggested members to check their listings and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, causing user dissatisfaction.
Size Classification Modifications
Earlier, the sizes had both one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The updated approach includes a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18.

A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult".
"Not many brands say XL is a 20-22," as the platform currently indicates.
Another user, based in Glasgow, stated items she posted on Vinted with size 14 labels were showing in the marketplace as larger sizing 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they're going to be very disappointed," she said.
Required Changes
A different user, from Derby, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item".
"This situation is especially annoying, as I'm chronically ill and Vinted sales have been crucial for me since losing part of my income," she said.
Marketplace Information
The service features exceeding 100 million users, with 18 million British users.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This is not the initial instance when a surprising modification to the app has proved unpopular: earlier, the platform withdrew an update concerning shipment methods due to shopper criticism.
