The European Union might “act quickly and firmly” against what it calls “unjustified” travel bans imposed by the United States against five European individuals involved in fighting online hate and misinformation, an EU official has said.

European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron charged Washington of “bullying and threats”, after the travel bans were placed on individuals that were at the heart of campaigns to introduce laws regulating US-based technology firms.
